Aiguadolç is one of the most magical places in Sitges. Located in the eastern area of Sitges and right in front of the sea, it is a space where fresh water springs gush forth – hence the name “aiguadolça” – coming from the underground waters of the Garraf Massif. This is where we find the historic Aiguadolç vineyard of the Llegat LLopis of 1935, documented since the 19th century, and was the last plot of land that remained of this variety at the end of the 20th century. The Aiguadolç vineyard, therefore, is the birthplace of all the Malvasias that are planted throughout Catalonia today. Located just 100 m from the Mediterranean Sea, this vineyard enjoys the Mediterranean atmosphere with hours of sunshine and the caresses of the sea breeze.
Hospital Vineyard
This vineyard can be considered one of the few urban vineyards that exist in our territory. Walking through it, experiencing it, feeling it, crossing it; and all this surrounded by buildings and the growth of Sitges is a unique experience. Five minutes from the center of Sitges on foot, this vineyard offers the visitor the possibility of understanding that the Sitges Malvasia Interpretation Center is a door to history to reclaim our wine-growing past where the Sitges Malvasia was the spearhead of a town positioned on the map for centuries.
